High-Yield Strategies for Multilingual Learners

High-yield strategies are evidence-based teaching practices that have been shown to significantly enhance student learning and achievement. These strategies are effective for all learners across various subjects and grade levels but are essential for Multilingual Learners. The strategies presented in the toolbox can help you in planning your instruction. Each strategy is designed for different points of a lesson. At the beginning of the lesson, the focus is on preparing and setting the stage for learning. During the middle of the lesson, the emphasis shifts to interacting. At the end of the lesson, the goal is to expand and extend student understanding.
