W.9-10.4 Conduct more sustained research projects to craft an argument, answer a question, or provide an analysis. a. Gather, assess, and synthesize information from credible sources on the topic. b. Reflect on the evidence and generate ideas to demonstrate understanding of the topic and purpose. c. Avoid plagiarism by quoting, paraphrasing, and citing, using a standard format for citation of evidence. d. Interact and collaborate with others throughout the writing process.

Success Criteria: I will know that I have it when, ● I can dissect the prompt by determining a topic to research. ● I can identify credible sources for additional research. ● I can conduct research by gathering information, assessing the information, and synthesizing all of the information gathered. ● I can refect on the evidence gathered to generate the main idea and details on the topic and develop my own understanding of the topic. ● I can use standard citation format in order to avoid plagiarism when quoting or paraphrasing a source. ● I can collaborate with others through the research and writing process.
