Group 4 Lesson Plan: Word Recognition

Focus of Instruction:

1. Phonemic Awareness 2. Phonics 3. Sound recognition and articulation 4. Fluency (sounds, words, phrases, sentences) 5. Word Sorting 6. Connected Text 7. Dictation *Lesson is scripted and can be found in the Phonics Lesson Library (PLL)

Considerations for the Group 4 students : ● Follow the scripted lesson plan

● Use at least 5 days, however lessons should be taught to mastery in the day 1-4 sequence with a skill progress monitor on the day 5 lesson. If mastery has not been achieved, use the chip kit book as supplement to the lessons. The chip kit book can be found in the One95 platform. Login using Clever ● Physical copies can be found with the PLL materials in your school. The instructional coach in the building can help locate these materials. ● Training for the PASI and the PSI along with how to use the Phonics Lesson Library (PLL) can be found in Canvas at https://canyons.instructure.com/enroll/H9A7FC
