Performance Skill : ● Students will demonstrate how to send emails for a variety of purposes and audiences. ● Students will describe how digital communication tools can be used to accomplish tasks for a specific purpose.

● Use guided internet navigation activities, graphic organizers, and teacher modeling to build understanding of internet concepts and online communication. ● Practice search strategies, email etiquette, and file management through structured activities and real-world scenarios. ● Scaffold communication projects using email templates, search checklists, and collaborative discussions. ● Compare multiple communication platforms and recommend the most appropriate tool for different real-world situations. ● Research an emerging communication technology or internet innovation and present how it has changed the way people communicate and collaborate. ● Provide visual vocabulary cards, labeled internet diagrams, sentence frames, and modeled examples of professional digital communication when discussing email. ● Use a double entry journal, turn and tell five, or sketch notes when explaining how the internet works. 6th Grade: Focus on understanding internet concepts, practicing effective search techniques, navigating websites, and composing professional emails using guided activities.
