Step 4: Teachers will review their Student Growth Goal using the Smart Goal framework • Check that your goal meets the SMART goal criteria. If after your review, you notice that one or more of the criteria are not met, go back to Steps 1-3 to ensure that all the SMART goal criteria are met.

Note that Student Growth Goals are monitored throughout the year and teachers reflect on current student growth and adjust instruction accordingly. • District-wide Standards-Based Assessments (and/or common formative assessments) will be used to monitor student growth at set intervals throughout the year. • In January and again in May , teachers review student data, reflect on student growth, plan instructional adjustments as necessary, and submit documentation of those reflections by the set due dates .
