CSD Read 180 / System 44 Implementation Goals

Studies confrm that when implemented with fdelity, Read180 and System 44 effectively raises reading achievement when students experience all aspects of the rotation model of blended learning. Full implementation of a curriculum involves a multi-year plan and can take up to 5 years for full implementation. Below are Canyon School District’s implementation goals for the frst 3 years of the Read 180 / System 44 roll out. Year 1 ● Classrooms set up for 3 rotations, library easily accessible, inviting classroom environment ● Doing all 3 Rotations and Whole Group/Do Now ● Following Lesson Plans ● Meeting usage requirements for Student APP ● Classwide and Student APP Accountability and Incentive systems

Year 2 ● Teacher regularly examines data to make instructional decisions ● Consistently using Instructional Routines ● Structured Academic Discussions ● Data shared with school-wide teams ● Independent Reading Accountability and Incentive systems Year 3 ● Differentiated Instruction in Small Group using RDI Lessons (S44) ● Assessing Literacy and Language Goals using the Observe Board ● Student conferencing
