Wall Ball (Two Styles)
I can… K: Throw a ball towards a target.
1sh: Catch and throw a ball above the head or overhand with accuracy. 2nd: Catch a ball (in the air or on the ground) and throw a ball with accuracy.
Materials/ Space Needed
HomeBase Rubber ball (1 per court) Tennis Ball or Racquetball Wall (10’x10’ space)

Introduction
Begin class with a warm up procedure: ● Prepare students with daily expectations before entering the gym OR on Home Base OR going outside to the Wall Ball space. ● Warm up procedure may include several laps around the gym, stretching routine, or another quick, movement based activity. ● Back at Home Base, review rules/expectations of the school and
PE/Playworks with explicit examples when appropriate. ● Review any other specific reminders needed for the day.
Before releasing students for the first game, use a Sequence Touch to get them to the location you need them to be for the first activity.
The game that you chose today will take up the entire class period.
Wall Ball (Rotational)
Show How How to Play:
● The game begins with one student serving the ball by hitting it so it bounces on the ground then hits the wall. ● The other student waits for the ball to bounce once before hitting it against the ground then hits the wall. ● Play continues until one of the following errors occurs: ○ Ball bounces more than once. ○ Ball misses the wall (or goes outside of the boundary) ○ Ball is hit before it bounces on the ground. ● The student that commits the error will high five the next player in line and
