Again Routine ○ Error Correction Strategy
● Ask the questions after the reread portion identified on the Leveled Reader Lesson Card. ● If time allows,briefly discuss the Comprehension Check question. Provide a sentence frame. ● Read the Essential Question at the top of the Table of Contents to set the purpose for the Genre Study. ● “Today we will be reading to/ for ____.” ● Students pick their favorite chapter or paragraph to fluently read with a partner to demonstrate mastery. One student is selected to demonstrate their fluency for the group. Give praise. ● Refer to the Respond to the Reading pages at the end of the Leveled Reader Selection Use Summarize, and the Leveled Reader Graphic Organizer to set up for Text Evidence ● Ask and Discuss the Text Evidence Questions. (Student writing optional) ● Read the Essential Question at the top of the Table of Contents to set the purpose for the Genre Study. ● “Today we will be reading to/ for ____.” ● Reread sentences or passages to become fluent (rate, accuracy, expression) ○ Modeled Reading ○ Choral or Paired Reading ○ Phrase Cued Text ○ Reread text using the Tell, Ask, Start Again Routine ○ Error Correction Strategy ● “Today we will be reading to/ for ____.” ● Use the Differentiated Genre Passage Read, re-read for rate, expression and comprehension ○ Choral Read the passage. ○ Partner read the passage 2-3 minutes (whisper read) ● Discuss to answer questions ● “Today we will be reading to/ for ____.”Use the Differentiated Genre Passage Read, re-read for rate, expression and comprehension ○ Partner read 2-3 minutes
