Strand: CONNECT (5.T.CO.) Students will synthesize and relate knowledge from personal and collaborative experience to make and receive art. They will relate artistic ideas and works with societal, cultural, and historical context to deepen understanding (Standards 5.T.CO.1–3). .Standard 5.T.CO.1: Explain how drama connects oneself to one’s community or culture. .Standard 5.T.CO.2: Read plays and stories from a variety of cultures and historical periods and identify the characters, setting, plot, theme, and conflict to better understand performance and design choices. .Standard 5.T.CO.3: Investigate universal or common social issues and express them through a drama/theatre work.
