Tall Tale - a story that is super exaggerated and hard to believe, often funny and adventurous Hyperbole - an obvious and intentional exaggeration that's not meant to be taken literally

A picture book tall tale. These specific titles may or may not be available in your library, however, ever Traditional Literature section should have a tall tale or two. For example: ●​ Swamp Angel ●​ Paul Bunyan by Steven Kellog ●​ John Henry by Julius Lester ●​ Dona Flor by Pat Mora ●​ Thunder Rose by Jerdine Nolen ●​ Seed by seed : the legend and legacy of John "Appleseed" Chapman ●​ Pecos Bill by Steven Kellog ●​ The Bunyans by Audrey Wood
