Unfamiliar Non-math Words : Be aware of the words that students may not be familiar with throughout the topic. Give visual examples to clarify meanings and understanding of these words. Some examples might be; leafet, cloverleaf, wavelength, nanometers, etc. Illustrative Mathematics: Double Plus One. Students can repeat the same process with a new rule of their creation.
