Learning Progression Example

1. Dissect the prompt to determine the topic for research. 2. Write an inquiry question to guide research. 3. Evaluate resources (print and digital) for credible information on the topic. 4. Gather and assess the information in the sources.

5. Synthesize and refect the information gathered to generate main ideas and details. 6. Integrate quoting and paraphrasing of the information into your research writing. Cite the quotes and paraphrasing in order to avoid plagiarism. 7. Seek feedback and collaboration during research and writing.
