Learning Progression Example

“Learning progressions articulate a pathway to profciency” (Fisher & Frey, The Teacher Clarity Playbook, 10). However, we know that students have different background knowledge and/or previously learned skills. The learning progression is a cycle, rather than a clear step-by-step sequence. Consider your own students and determine where to start and how many cycles will be needed before moving to a summative assessment on this standard.
