● Activity: Students write a short-answer response summarizing the text. The summary should be objective, include the identifed theme or main idea, and be supported by specifc textual evidence. ● Objective: To evaluate students' skills in creating an objective summary that includes the theme or main idea and is supported by textual evidence.
