Textual Evidence Short-Answer Response

● Activity: Students write a short-answer response in which they cite textual evidence to support their analysis of what the text explicitly says and the inferences they draw. The response should include at least two pieces of evidence: one supporting an explicit statement and one supporting an inference. ● Objective: To evaluate students' ability to use textual evidence effectively in supporting both explicit analysis and inferred meanings from the text.
