LEARNING PROGRESSIONS
● As a class brainstorm contemporary pressing global problems. Examples may include: pollution, mental health crisis, gender inequality, child labor, economic disparities between and within countries, refugee crises and displacement, human traffcking, terrorism, cybersecurity, war, misinformation, sustainable agriculture, water, etc. ● Review the elements of research. ● As a class, select one of the global problems you identifed to research. Then research the most promising political, technological, medical, or scientifc advances being created to address that problem. ● Students can be divided into political, technological, medical, and/or scientifc groups to collect their research and fndings. ● Students can participate in a Socratic Seminar to share their research.
