LEARNING PROGRESSIONS

●​ Identify and explain budget priorities. ●​ Identify and analyze potential budget priorities that individuals might have on the following levels: ○​ Local level ○​ State level ○​ Tribal level ○​ Federal level ●​ Select one of the above levels and as a class and come to a consensus on the budget priorities for that level. ●​ Model how an individual could share their budget priorities with an appropriate stakeholder for that chosen level. ●​ Task students to choose a government level to propose and defend budget priorities and to share their findings with an appropriate stakeholder. Examples from each level may include:

○​ Local level - local government officials and local businesses ○​ State level - state legislators and the Governor's office ○​ Tribal level - tribal council members and tribal government agencies ○​ Federal level - federal agencies and congressional representatives
