Daily Rotation Models in Literacy and ELD Classrooms
We have designed the following rotation models to fit the schedules of the schools in our district.

Each rotation is an essential component to the success of the program. ● Students should access the student app for 15-20 minutes daily to meet the weekly goals. However, it is not best practice to have students working on the student app for longer than 20 minutes a day. ● Independent reading can be done with the Read 180 library, or teachers can work with their school librarians to pair students with appropriate books. Remember that students should be reading books within their approximate range of development. You can see this Lexile range on their MAP Reading Assessment results. ● For classrooms with students in multiple programs, whole group may be a “Do Now” starter. Then during the small group rotation whole group lessons for Read 180 can be taught, while for students in Code and Language Launch, their small group lessons will come from their individual books.
