Equity In The Read 180 Suite

Canyons School District uses the Read 180 Suite in order to service diverse populations in an effort to provide a high level of equity to students. Read 180 and System 44 are primarily literacy programs, but they provide tools for differentiated instruction and stretch activities, specific supports for Multilingual Learners, are aligned to WiDA Standards, support Structured Classroom Discussion, and support the development of writing in multiple genres from the word to the discourse level. Embedded with the program lessons are themes which are culturally relevant to students from a wide variety of backgrounds, which makes these programs ideal for supporting the needs of diverse learners.
