C1. Classroom rules are posted. Determine whether classroom rules are displayed where students can easily see them.

Highly Evident/Evident • Classroom rules are displayed in an area of the classroom that is readable and readily accessible to students. Partially Evident • Classroom rules are displayed but may not be clearly visible to students (e.g., obstructed most of the day) or not easily readable (e.g., small print or faded print). Not Evident • Classroom rules are not displayed.

C2. Behavior expectations and rules are evident or promoted . Determine whether there is evidence that school-wide and classroom expectations are being followed by students or promoted with prompting by the teacher.

Meets Expectations •

All students are following school-wide and classroom expectations and rules OR • Teacher prompts are appropriate (stated positively) to reinforce school-wide and classroom expectations and rules.

Does Not Meet Expectations •

Students are not following school-wide and classroom expectations and rules. • Teacher misses opportunities to provide appropriate prompts to reinforce school-wide and classroom expectations and rules.

C3. Classroom routines/procedures are followed. Determine whether there is evidence that the classroom routines/procedures have been established and are promoted with prompting by the teacher.

Meets Expectations •

All students are following the established classroom routines/procedures. OR • Teacher prompts are timely and appropriate to reinforce classroom routines/procedures.

Does Not Meet Expectations •

Teacher has not established clear routines/procedures for the observed task(s). OR • Teacher misses opportunities to provide appropriate prompts to reinforce established classroom routines/procedures. C4. Student behavior is closely monitored. Determine the degree to which there is evidence that the teacher is closely monitoring student behavior, including the monitoring of studen ts’ appropriate use of digital devices. Highly Evident • Teacher is positioned (or moves about the classroom) to closely observe all students, including their appropriate use of digital devices. AND
