BLT Manual

LEARNING WALKTHROUGH PRACTICE PROFILE

The purpose of learning walkthroughs it to observe and collect data on core instructional practices.

Purpose

Teachers observe other teachers’ instruction and collect data using a specific observation protocol (see the BLT Toolbox for observation protocols around Tier 1 best practices). Depending on the observation protocol selected, walkthroughs may require more than one observer. Data collected can be aggregated for school-wide, grade-level, or department-wide decision making. Data collected can be used to demonstrate growth over time.
