Lord of the Dance and Chinese Jump Rope

We had to cooperate with our group members to complete the jump rope routine. Materials/ Space Needed
Routine: An activity that has a set of movements. Our group created a routine to follow with our jump rope.
Introduction
Begin class with a warm up procedure: ● Prepare students with daily expectations before entering the gym OR on Home Base. ● Warm up procedure may include several laps around the gym, stretching routine, or another quick, movement based activity. ● Back at Home Base, review rules/expectations of the school and
PE/Playworks with explicit examples when appropriate. ● Review any other specific reminders needed for the day.
Before releasing students for the first game, use a Sequence Touch to get them to the location you need them to be for the first activity.
Lord of the Dance
Show How How to Play:
● Everyone will stand in a large circle with enough space between them to dance safely. ● Begin the game by playing a song and being the first “Lord of the dance”. Whatever move you do, everyone else must match it. ● When you change the song, the next person will go, becoming the “Lord of the dance” for 10-15 seconds. ● Keep changing the song until everyone gets a chance to lead the
