Skill Building

● Ask about the basic information about someone else’s home. ● Ask someone where their house is.

● Describe a home using basic information (rooms and responsibilities etc). ● Describe different rooms in a home ( 卧室,客厅,厨房,地下室,车库,后院, 书房,客房 ). ● Describe responsibilities in a home. ● Draw a map of their home, and write about their home, rooms and responsibilities. ● Understand and provide directions to a location in my community. ● Recommend to others what common places to go in my community. ● Engage the student in more student-teacher conversation in Chinese aside from regularly planned activities or group the student with other advanced learners who are ready for more challenging dialog. ● View a documentary about home life in China. ● Explore currency exchange rate as it pertains to the cost of housing in China. ● Ask students who live in the same community to make posters together about their community, and write directions to different locations. ● Ask students to create a video about their community/home (pick three locations to describe the responsibilities) ● Ask students to design a house for their own community.
