These criteria are derived from Core Standards: W10.1-2, 6, 7, 8, 9; SL10.2, 4, 5, 6; RI10.1; RL10.1. Timing: Teachers may determine which quarter students complete the elements of the project. For example, Quarter 2 could be devoted to their research question and research, in Quarter 3 students work on drafting and revising research, and then in Quarter 4 students present their fndings. Or a teacher may decide to focus on research and complete the project in a shorter time frame.
