Literary Text Learning Intention: I am learning how an author uses dynamic characters, plot, and theme to develop a text. Success Criteria: I know I’ll have it when, ● I can identify and analyze how complex and/or dynamic characters and their interaction with other characters develop a text. ● I can identify and analyze how plot advancements develop a text. ● I can identify and analyze how the development of the theme in a text (through imagery, symbolism, motifs, characters, etc.) develops a text. Informational Text Learning Intention: I am learning how an author uses an analysis or argument to develop a text. Success Criteria: I know I’ll have it when, ● I can identify the structure of the analysis or argument that the author uses (introduction, sequence, development, and connections). ● I can analyze how the structure develops the text as a whole.
