Genre - a category or type of book that shares similar characteristics, content, or style
Book Tasting Room by Genre kit (in shared elementary library drive)
Adventure - stories of exciting or risky journeys or experiences Animal Stories - stories that have animals as main characters Classics - books that have withstood the test of time Graphic Novels - stories told in illustration panels like comics Historical Fiction - stories set in a time and place of the past although characters and events may be fiction Fantasy - stories of magic and wonder
10+ books of each genre for each grade (expect some to be checked out and have extras on hand for the next classes). Include books with varied covers, lengths, and reading levels. ● Adventure ● Animal Stories

Humor - stories that are funny
