Grade 4 - 5 DLI CSD Math Block 45 Minutes The DLI Math Reinforcement Block includes a menu of options to use during the 15-20 minutes allotted for this time in the master schedule. Pre-Topic Collaborative Planning between partner language and PLC: • Discuss skills and standards to be demonstrated by students.
• Identify and discuss topic objectives, learning intentions and success criteria. • Identify topic vocabulary to be taught and displayed in each classroom. • Identify formative and/or summative assessment questions to determine mastery of the standards and skills being taught in the topic. • Discuss appropriate strategies, gestures, and manipulatives to build consistent approaches to problem-solving. Throughout the Topic Collaborative Planning between partner language and PLC: • Refect on formative assessment data to inform on-going instruction, re-teaching, reinforcing and extending learning in the partner language. • Use Progress Monitoring materials as outlined at your school site based on student data and needs. Refer to your administrator and instructional coach for specifc guidelines and recommendations. After the Topic Collaborative Planning between partner language and PLC: • Review summative assessment data to inform re-teaching, reinforcing, and extending learning in the partner language.
