DLI 4th Grade Guide

General Information

Pacing This instructional guide provides guidance for intertwining the Utah Core Math Standards and the enVision 2020 curriculum. Following the guide will allow students to access ALL core standards by the end of the year. To support students’ mastery of the standards, targeted standard clusters have been identified. Attending to these targeted standards will allow teachers to focus instruction for the given topic and better assess students ’ understanding of each standard. Flexible instructional days have been scheduled into the scope and sequence to provide additional time for increasing conceptual understanding of the standards. Conceptual understanding requires a focus of depth and complexity which may go beyond the enVision lessons. The following resources may be useful for extending instruction to address depth of knowledge demands of the standards.
