USBE Mathematics Standards and Core Guides

The Elementary Math Standards are created to provide guidance for developing effective instruction aligned to the Utah State Standards for P-12 Mathematics. They are intended to support teachers, administrators, Mathematics specialists, instructional coaches, parents, and other stakeholders as they plan instruction at a local level. Elementary Mathematics Standards: For the 2026–2027 school year, CSD is piloting the draft version of the new USBE Elementary Math Standards; USBE is anticipating that the new standards will be adopted in the Fall of 2026. They are not intended for use by students, and therefore, they may not be written in a student-friendly language.
