Dear Copperview Community,

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! I’m new to Copperview Elementary, and am thrilled to be leading the fabulous work occurring each day as our staff has the privilege of working with the students, parents, and community. I look forward to working with you and your student. As a staff, we are working to implement the theme, “Celebrate What’s Right in the World”. During our first faculty training in August, I shared a video that focused on how to see the world through a “lens of celebration”. We plan to continue this focus throughtout the coming year, and I’m confident we’ll “see the world based on possibilities”. At Copperview, parent and family engagement is vital to the success of our students. We encourage you to be involved with any one of the activities. Some of the activities include our annual school carnival in the fall, parent teacher conferences, Moms Matter, All Pro Dads, Winterfest, and Student of the Month awards. I’m already impressed by the dedication of our staff, the excitement for learning of our students, and the commitment of our families and community. Thanks for being part of our journey, and we hope we can continue with a perspective that “transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary”. S ​ CHOOL ​ I ​ NSTRUCTION ​ H ​ OURS Please make sure that your student arrives on time each day and arrangements are made for students to leave immediately after dismissal. Regular School Hours: Monday-Thursday – 8:40-3:20, Friday 8:40-1:40 Early Dismissal Every Friday at 1:40 PM. C ​ OMMUNICATION Communication is critical for a successful year at Copperview Elementary. Here are some ways to keep up-to-date on what’s going on here at school! C ​ OPPERVIEW ​ N ​ EWSLETTER The Copperview Newsletter is a school-wide newsletter with important dates and new information. It also includes grade levels updates on what students are learning. E- ​ MAIL At Copperview Elementary, teachers check and respond to email daily.
