They will design and code a smart bin prototype using micro:bit sensors, simulating real-world data collection for route optimization. Explore how smart home technologies contribute to reducing CO2 emissions and building sustainable cities. Using micro:bit sensors, students will design and code an automated smart home model to automate energy-saving behaviours such as automatically adjusting lighting and temperature, ultimately reducing resource consumption. They will build an aquatic garbage collector that uses continuous servo motors to move garbage on the surface of a waterway toward a net. Learn about rising sea levels and how satellites help scientists track changes in the ocean.
