Soil Moisture
Create a device to monitor soil moisture so we stop overwatering lawns/plants.
Climate Action Kits
Assessing Water Quality Learn about water quality and the importance of turbidity in the water treatment process. They will investigate how light interacts with particles suspended in water, then build their own turbidity meters to classify water samples. Habitat Monitoring Build and use a sensor-based device to monitor environmental conditions in local habitats. They can take this device on field trips to save data on habitat temperature, soil moisture, and light levels.

Energy Awareness 6 Lessons. Students learn how we can monitor our use of energy and use this to make decisions about how we can save energy, save money and have a positive impact on climate change.
Students use micro:bits to monitor electric light use, learn about how to collect good data and present it in order to help inform decisions about changing behaviours. The first lesson relates to being a climate activist. This may be considered controversial. Use that portion with caution.
