● How chromosome mutations occur & How gene mutation works - do a close reading activity and a structured classroom discussion to support students in understanding chromosome mutations. ● Have students learn about a mutation. Examples could include the following: ○ Benefcial mutations: Antibiotic resistance, camoufage, etc. ○ Harmful mutations: cystic fbrosis, cancer, etc.
