● Have students review the picture from the google slide presentation of differing weather across North America. ● Ask them what observations they have, and allow them ask questions and make predictions. Don’t answer any of their questions, as they will be able to explain this at the end of the unit of instruction.

● I can create a model showing the water cycle

● Students will

observe/investigate the movement of water through the different stages of the water cycle and determine what drives this cycle. They will discover how changes in heat energy occur throughout the cycle. This lesson will take at least two 45-minute class periods to complete.
