Learning Intentions: ●​ Students will compare and contrast works of fiction with similar themes or topics, focusing on patterns of events and character types. ●​ Students will compare how different texts about the same topic present their information, focusing on the evidence emphasized and interpretations advanced. ●​ Students will identify areas of agreement and disagreement between texts on matters of fact or interpretation. Success Criteria: ●​ I can compare two or more works of fiction with similar themes or topics. ●​ I can identify and analyze patterns of events and character types in works of fiction. ●​ I can compare how different texts about the same topic emphasize different evidence and advance different interpretations of facts. ●​ I can identify where texts disagree on matters of fact or interpretation.
