It is class picnic time. Miss Kline tells the class, "We will have fun! We will find who runs fast, faster, and fastest!" Miss Kline has kids lining up by her. She holds a red flag. "When I yell 'go,' run to my red flag," instructs Miss Kline. Kids get set. Miss Kline yells, "Go!" Kids run fast. Miss Kline runs fast. She runs to an old tree waving the red flag. Ann runs post the lag. Then Max and Leo run past. Miss Kline yells, "Ann ran fastest!" Ann smiles and tells Miss Kline, "No, you did! You ran past us with the flag." "Oh," Miss Kline grins. "I did not think of that." Next Miss Kline jumps high and sets the red flag up in an old tree. "We will jump at my red flag," Miss Kline grins. "Who can jump high, higher, and highest?" Kids jump one at a time. Scott jumps closest to the red flag. "Scott jumps highest!" Miss Kline yells. Scott smiles and tells Miss Kline, "No, you did! You set the red flag up there."
